Professor Andrew King and Dr Yanyi Lu from the Confucius Institute at the University of Hull were invited by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Manchester to attend the National Day Reception on 20 September.
The reception brought together more than 300 guests from the fields of education, business and culture to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and to promote friendship and collaboration between China and the UK.
The event also featured performances by artists from both China and the UK, highlighting cultural exchange and strengthening connections between the two countries.
